Although Darth Vader’s path as a villain ended with his tragic redemption and sacrifice, one version of his story saw him survive as a Darth Vader dressed in white, showcasing his return to the Jedi. The former Anakin Skywalker was supposedly "murdered" when he became Darth Vader, with his memory living on in his few surviving friends and his son Luke. When Vader rebelled against Emperor Palpatine, it was a decision that cost him his life as he died in his son's arms. In Star Wars Infinities: Return of the Jedi, an alternate version of the 1983 film with small yet significant differences throughout the storyline sees Vader survive the final battle on the Death Star, later adorned in a white version of his signature armor.
